Atopé esti poema como exemplu de voz poderosa nel llibru Write, del que falara na anterior  entrada, y apetecióme traducilu al asturianu. Paezme tremendamente suxestivu. Lo que m’estraña ye que malpenes hai referencies a l’autora na rede, sacando les que citen esti poema dientro del contestu del llibru.  Un one-hit wonder poéticu, paez ser.

COMO MATAR UN SER VIVIENTE

Desatiéndilu

Critícalu a la cara

Dí que mata la lluz

Que trai la porquería

Que t’aburre col verde

Continuamente

Endurez el corazón

Entós

Córtalu

Tan de raíz como pueas

Olvídate d’ello

una selmana o un mes

Vuelve con un hachu

Pártila d’un güelpe

Méte-y una piedra

Que quede la firida abierta

HOW TO KILL A LIVING THING

Neglect it/ Criticise it to its face/ Say how it kills the light / Traps all the rubbish / Bores you with its green/ Continually / Harden your heart / Then / Cut it down close/ To the root as possible

Forget it / for a week or a month/ Return with an axe/ Split it with one blow/ Insert a stone
